Dear All,

Greetings from Jing Liu in University of Pittsburgh.I am a doctoral student in program of education and human resources development in GSID.Now I am studying at School of Education, University of Pittsburgh. I will be here until the end of June.

Thank you very much for keeping updating our blog and sharing your study experiences.It was so exciting to receive the birthday card from you. Thank you very much!

Today is the last day of the Spring semester in University of Pittsburgh. I really cannot believe that I have been in here for almost 4 months. The weather was terrible cold when I came here. While now the wonderful Spring just arrived.Everywhere is green, everywhere is covered by sunshine and flowers.

The end of the semester closed with the Symposium of Education in China organized by School of Education, University of Pittsburgh. It was a great experience for me to participate in the symposium and make presentation with Professor Ruth Hayhoe and Professor Ka Ho Mok who is distinguished scholar in the research of education in China.

Life and study in here is full of challenges and very exciting. I had the experience of reading over 40 books and writing a book chapter about indigenous education within one month, the experience of facilitaing lecture of Comparative and international Education, the experience of making presentation in CIES 2010 annual meeting in Chicago, the experience of making three different presentations within two weeks, the experience of writing my first book review with Professor Yamada, the experience of writing my first journal paper... At the same time, I got the opportunities to observe lectures in School of Education, attend student meetings and discussions, meet old friends graduated from GSID in Chicago, welcome Professor Yamada's visit to University of Pittsburgh and so forth...
