It was a wonderful opportunity to know the initial efforts made by Ushiogi-sensei and other professors in establishing GSID programs. They refered to curricula of institutions overseas to develop the syllabus and established connections with international organizations to expand the opportunities for students to learn. The internship at UNESCO Bangkok, which is still enjoyed by GSID students, is the opportunity created by Ushiogi-sensei. Founding members have also devoted a lot to start OFW (Overseas Fieldwork), which is one of the characteristics of GSID field-oriented education.
