Coming back from International Conference on China Urban Development in University of Hong Kong

Hi! Everyone! This is Liu Jing.

From Dec.7 to Dec.9, I attended the International Conference on China Urban Development held by University of Hong Kong. It was quite different experience from the experience in the conference on Education issue. Experts from different background in Urban Development got together and shared different opinion regarding China's urban development. It was great to have such opportunity to present my research. Also, it was great to get many suggestions and comments which could help me to improve more.

It was my first time to visit University of Hong Kong, especially the Faculty of Education. Luckily, I met with Professor Mark Bray coincidently at the entrance of the building of Faculty of Education.

More excitingly, I got an opportunity to visit The Hong Kong Institute of Education and met with Professor Ka Ho Mok. Based on the schedule of the Annual Meeting of Comparative Education Society Hong Kong, which will be held in the coming February 18-20, my proposal of organizing a student workshop to discuss on research methodology and our own researches has been accpected. Although the program is under construction, I would like to invite all members in our seminar to join us in the workshop. It will be a great opportunity to make friends, to learn knowledge and establish our future academic network. Based on our International Student Forum in Japan, probably we can establish a East Asia Graduate School Student Forum on Education and Development...
